At age 18, Kevin soared onto the professional snowboard stage, winning over ten snowboarding competitions all over the world, including four medals at the X Games. While training for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, Kevin sustained a traumatic brain injury. His ongoing rehabilitation and training have been inspirational to both the international snowboard community and fans around the world. Kevin is the subject of the 2013 documentary, The Crash Reel. Kevin’s talk will focus on the importance of family, friends and support in overcoming obstacles. He will also touch on always looking forward to the next opportunity, no matter what life throws in your way. Join us for a special conference for persons with brain injuries, their families and friends.  Conference will include: Lectures  Discussion groups Hands-on activities Networking Resource sharing Information booths Participating Partners: MossRehab, Bancroft, Beechwood NeuroRehab, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, Community Skills Program, Council on Brain Injury, Good Shepherd Penn Partners, Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, Mind Your Brain, ReMed, Success Rehabilitation, and the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania.  Sponsored by the MossRehab Traumatic Brain Injury Model System and the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR)
